Crystal Falls recognized for neighborhood beautification efforts
Crystal Falls received the Neighborhood Beautification Award on Dec. 9, 2011 for mid-size communities by the Austin Chapter of the Community Associations Institute, the premier authority in the greater Austin area on community association living. This prestigious award recognizing the “best of the best” local communities for a commitment to beautification and aesthetic appearance was based on the outstanding landscaping throughout the community. The developer has spent years artfully using native Texas Hill Country plants and recycling limestone boulders from the abandoned quarry on site to enhance the magnificent natural beauty of Crystal Falls.
Awards were presented in ten areas of excellence, with submissions from more than 100 communities. The judges panel included such dignitaries as Drew DeBerry, Deputy Commissioner Texas Dept of Agriculture; Sandy Denton, CMCA, PCAM, LSM Chair of Texas Community Association Advocates Board of Directors; the Honorable Jason Isaac, Texas State Representative; the Honorable Mark Strama, Texas State Representative; the Honorable Alan McGraw, Mayor of the City of Round Rock; and Larry Niemann, General Counsel of the Texas Apartment Association, retired.
